ATOS III Digital Optical Measuring Device
Chicago Mold Engineering is proud to offer the
photogrammetry services of the ATOS III system. Applications
for this system include reverse engineering, CAD
re-creation, and quality verification of physical models.
ATOS III generates 3D data quickly and accurately for these
applications using non-contact, white light scanning. The
scans output point clouds, sections, or STL data, which can
subsequently be converted to surface files. The STL data,
when overlaid onto existing CAD data, provides efficient
inspections of parts and verification reports from the data.
ATOS III is a portable system that permits us to perform
services at our customer locations as well as throughout our
own facility.

Sharpe 32 controller and a 48" X 60" work table using PC-DMIS®
software Curves & Surfaces Release 3.2063 and fitted with an
MH8 Probe Head and TP20 Probe.
